When Sri Vrishabhanu Maharaj went to the Yamuna river for his daily morning bath, he saw a glorious golden lotus flower radiating divine effulgence. Looking inside the thousand petaled lotus flower, he found a most amazing, gorgeous, divine baby girl lying on the whorl of the flower. Being a blessing from the Sun God, he joyously took her home to Devi Kirtida.
Despite their happiness, Vrishabhanu Maharaj and Kirtida were saddened that their daughter was not opening her eyes. During the grand festival arranged at Narad Muni's instructions, when Sri Krishna crawled to Radha's cot and peered inside, realizing that her dearmost beloved was present, she opened her lotus-like eyes and took darshan of Shyamsundar. All Vrajavasis celebrated this miraculous event in great ecstasy!
