Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrates Lord Krishna’s birth—His enchanting form, His loving leelas, and His blessings for all!
The Supreme Lord, Shyamsundar, resides eternally in Goloka Vrindavan with His associates, enjoying transcendental lilas of affection and sweetness. He creates and sustains the universe through His divine energies, yet always remains untouched, enchanting the hearts of sages and pure devotees.
Krishna’s mesmerizing form, tribhanga posture, smile, and flute under the Kadamba tree on Yamuna’s banks enrapture all beings—His glance draws nature, animals, and Vrajavasis into eternal devotion and bliss.
Out of compassion, Krishna appears with all His potencies in this world, to destroy evil, uplift devotees, and establish dharma—manifesting on the holy night under Rohini Nakshatra in Bhadrapada.
Janmashtami is marked with dazzling darshans, abhisheka, non-stop kirtans, glorious offerings at midnight arati, feasting, and continues with Nandotsav where devotees joyfully serve and celebrate.
